28 février 2011 2011 Edition The 2011 edition of the Montreal Motorcycle Show, which took place this past weekend, attracted 30,063 visitors. "What's important to us is that the show experienced a growth in attendance over last year. We believe the crisis that has affected the motorcycle world is over and that this mild increase should be reflected in the motorcycle industry in Quebec starting with this season," said show manager Roger Saint-Laurent.
The show provided 165 exhibitors and their sales staff of 2,150 with an attentive audience for new products and services for the upcoming season.
The major topic of discussion during the three days of the show was the announcement of a new plan for motorcycle insurance rates struck by the Société de l'Assurance Automobile du Québec and the Front Commun Motocycliste. The new rates will come into effect in 2012.
